Evaluation reports

In 2013, UGA Extension received a three-year, $1 million grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation with the goal of helping Georgians be more physically active. This report provides a summary of the impact and success of Walk Georgia as a result of our innovative public-private partnership.

Project Evaluation Report

All current Walk Georgia county administrators are able to pull county reports from 2015-present. For reports needed from before 2015, please email walkga@uga.edu with the year/session info requested. For example: "Please send the ‘Spring 2014’ report for Appling County."

  • Walk Georgia E-newsletter/Blog feature is currently distributed twice/month. Writers needed! Health/wellness related articles should be 3-400 words and include all sources. Subscribe here
  • The UGA Board of Regents has also helped facilitate our partnership with Georgia Tech’s Health Informatics graduate program to help develop biomarker data fields, specifically capturing height/weight/BP and Cholesterol, FitBit and My Fitness Pal syncing prototypes. Stay tuned for more details about these potential developments.
  • BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia has approached Walk Georgia as a potential replacement solution for their Walking Works platform, which is being phased out in the summer of 2018.
